Bus Registration Open for 2024-25 School Year

School year '24-25 is a little over a month away, and the D38 Transportation Team is encouraging you to get ready, and get set for the new school year ahead! 

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BUS SERVICES FOR SCHOOL YEAR '24-25: 

  • Registration for bus services begins July 8. 

  • Fees for riders will increase slightly from $250/student to $265/student for unlimited rides. D38 fees for bus services align with other school districts in the area and help ensure we can provide reliable bus services without cancellations that cause inconveniences for families. 

  • Families with several children pay only for the first three riders. Beyond that number, riders in the same family are free. 

  • Families that live east of Highway 83 pay a reduced fee of $133, as that area is served by consolidated stops. 

  • Payment for bus services is via your PaySchools Central account. A step-by-step process for how to pay for a rider's seat is available at the link below. 

  • Families that qualify for free or reduced lunch are eligible for waived bus fees. The link below provides instructions for those eligible for free or reduced lunch. 

  • Punch cards will be available in September for occasional riders. A 20-ride punch card is $50 and can be purchased at the D38 Transportation Building at 99 E. Santa Fe Avenue in Monument.

  • NEW! As the first school district in the Pikes Peak Region, D38 is launching SMART tag™. Smart tag™ increases safety and security for riders by leveraging technology. We can ensure students load the right bus; increase driver, school, and parent awareness; and ensure our youngest riders or those with special needs are released to authorized guardians. 

  • NEW! The SMART tag™ Parent App will equip families to receive push notifications with real-time information. You'll know when the bus is near your student's designated bus stop and have the ability to view live bus locations, providing a sense of reassurance for parents and guardians. And if any situation causes delays for your child's bus, you can receive push notifications regarding the status of the bus.
