D38 has partnered with Schneider Electric to assess deferred maintenance projects throughout the district. Schneider Electric is an energy services company that assists organizations with identifying sustainable opportunities to make the most out of resources and energy. Schneider helps create lifecycles for each individual project and assists with each step of the process.
This partnership was established to align with D38's Strategic Vision. Priority goal number one includes cultivating safe, healthy, and welcoming school environments for students and staff. In creating a more sustainable and efficient use of D38 resources, funds could be allocated for additional needs. Schneider has proposed that its program will help D38 reinvest over $9.2 million of utility costs back into the schools, and in the process, guarantee $9.9 million in energy and operational savings over the next two decades.
