Choice Enrollment
Choice Enrollment (also referred to as "Open Enrollment") is held annually beginning in January for the upcoming school year for students entering kindergarten through 12th grade. This is the process by which in-district and non-resident families may be granted authorization to enroll students in a school other than their assigned neighborhood school. There are two separate application periods:
Priority Choice Window - This 6-week window is used to determine staffing for the upcoming school year. The Priority Choice Window for the 2025-2026 school year is from Jan 2 to Feb 12, 2025. Priority Choice Applications are ranked and a lottery is used if there are space or staff limitations.

To submit the application, it should first be saved to your device. You can then enter and save the data. The completed application should be emailed as an attachment. Please ensure the form contains your information before sending. You can also scan or take a picture of the completed application. Send it to choice@lewispalmer.org. The application may also be faxed, mailed, or dropped off at the District Administration Building. Please see our Information Letter below for more details.
Limited Choice Window - This follows the Priority Choice Window and ends on September 23. Limited Choice Applications are considered in the order received. Based on available space and/or staffing, these applications are either approved or placed on a wait list.
Students are approved on a year-to-year basis in order to remain enrolled in Lewis-Palmer School District. As long as there is room in the next grade level of the current building, the students automatically advance each year. Please see the Information Letter below for additional details.
