At a special meeting on May 24, the Board of Education voted unanimously to purchase investment property for the purpose of expanding CTE (Career and Technical Education) programs with the development of an Innovation Center. The project began with the pursuit of a one-time funding source that was realized with the passage of SB-24-017, enabling us to take a key step toward accomplishing a major strategic goal of the Board.

Innovation Centers are career-preparation facilities that provide relevant, work-based learning opportunities for students. Lessons are grounded in meaningful coursework and hands-on experiences that transcend learning in a traditional classroom.

The sky is the limit as far as what students might experience in the Innovation Center, ranging from engineering, healthcare, or technology, and so much more.

We want to hear from students, staff, families, and community for feedback regarding program offerings. Together, we can inspire and equip learners in D38 for some of the highest in-demand job fields.

Mark your calendar to attend our community forum on Thursday, June 20 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the District 38 Administration Building (146 N. Jefferson Street) in Monument.
