Residents within the communities that comprise Lewis-Palmer School District 38 will have the opportunity to participate in a survey in the coming weeks to help the district understand their feelings about D38, as well as gauge potential support for various district actions around addressing staff compensation.

“We talked about this when we did our Priority 5 deep dive, that we wanted to do an awareness and perceptions survey, but we also have other questions we want our public to weigh in on,” said Mark Belcher, director of communication. “Some of the questions range from how do you feel about the district, do you feel the district is a good steward of public funds and do you support teachers, but we’ll also get into questions about a potential ballot initiative to address staff compensation this fall.”

At the end of March, residents will receive communication and an invitation to participate. Some residents will receive text messages, some will receive phone calls and others may receive emails. Still, for those who do not receive a link, the survey will be posted on Lewispalmer.org for participation.

The survey is expected to help D38 leadership understand current public opinion and will help drive certain decisions moving forward.
