Palmer Ridge High School is celebrating a number of students who showed an aptitude for business at the most recent Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) district leadership conference competition.
Students engaged in FBLA chapters compete in a number of events, such as Public Speaking, Website Design, Entrepreneurship, Business ethics, Sales Presentation and more. Of the Palmer Ridge students who competed, nine earned top marks for the Pikes Peak Region with a total of 15 students earning top-10 marks for their areas of competition.
Students who earn a top-four placement will compete at a state competition in April. Those students are as follows:

- Nicole Day
- Jill Gallagher
- Reagen Hitzler
- Riley Marr
- Amber Taylor
- Heather Taylor
“Each one of these students worked incredibly hard. Competition was fierce and these students nailed it,” said Heather Cashman, FBLA Advisor at Palmer Ridge.
Cashman also recognized the students who earned top-10 nods in their final competition for the year:

- John Moritz
- Clara Park
“Through district-wide competition at the district leadership conferences, students can qualify for the April state leadership conference, where members compete in events that test their business knowledge and skills,” a memo from FBLA read. “Top winners in Colorado are eligible to compete for honors at the National Leadership Conference each summer.”
