For the fourth year in a row, the Palmer Ridge High School students who comprise the Knowledge Bowl A team claimed victory as champions of Region V.
Students competed in fierce competition four times throughout the season as part of either the A or B team, answering a series of 40 written and 40 oral questions. The A team finished in first or second place in each meet, granting them the top overall spot in the region.
The B team finished fifth overall, with high enough marks to edge out A teams from several other districts.
The victory advances the Bears to the state competition which promises to be even more competitive. In the 2020-2021 season, during which the Bears also won their region, the team placed third in the state competition.
