Following a seven-school DECA competition involving both Lewis-Palmer High School and Palmer Ridge High School, more than 50 D38 students will move onto the state level for further competition.
More than 800 students participated in the competition, with 72 competing on behalf of PRHS and 47 qualifying for State. Roughly 40 students competed from LPHS with seven qualifying for State.
“I could not be more proud of the amazing effort of our PRHS DECA students,” said Courtney Bushnell, PRHS DECA advisor. “If you know any of the students listed below, please congratulate them on their accomplishment of qualifying for State. If you know a student that competed but didn’t qualify for State, please congratulate them on taking a risk and putting forth their best effort.”
Of the 54 D38 students who will move onto the State competition, preparation begins now for February presentations.
“This is a tremendous accomplishment for these students and when you see them, please congratulate them for a job very well done,” said Byron Trop, LPHS DECA advisor.
