October 28 is designated as National First Responders Day. A day D38 students and staff love to commemorate. The Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Protection District, Monument Police Department, and El Paso County Sheriff’s Department are instrumental in maintaining safe, healthy learning environments for all D38 students and staff.
D38 schools love to express gratitude to these selfless men and women who keep our communities safe. Some of the National First Responders Day festivities included dropping off cards and goodies to local fire departments, enthusiastic drive-by parades, writing letters of appreciation, school visits with first responders, and more.
We can’t thank our first responders enough for all that they do every day.
