Students in 5th grade at Bear Creek go to Young AmeriTowne for a field trip in the fall.  These students will run a town for a day.  During the day students use debit cards and checkbooks to buy and sell goods.  Before they go to Young AmeriTowne students learn about economics such as free enterprise, supply and demands, checks and balance, philanthropy, investments, and interviewing skills. In the spring they create a wax museum depicting various scenes leading up to the American Revolution.
