Dear Families,
Thank you for coming to our Open House today. It was nice to see families and the building is a much happier place when our students and families are back. We look forward to welcoming students for their first day of school tomorrow morning. A few things to keep in mind for tomorrow:
Transportation Information: Bus information (pickup/dropoff times, route numbers, etc) can be accessed through the Infinite Campus app. To find the information once you login, select your student, click on the waffle icon in the upper left corner, select More, then select LP Transportation. All bus information can be found there. We will be writing the bus number on your student’s hands when they arrive in the morning and staff members will take them to their buses each afternoon.
Student Pick Up/Drop Off.
The first few days are always difficult for arrival and dismissal. Please follow our staff’s guidance while outside. There are processes in place to ensure that everyone gets to and from school safely. Refer to the linked map for East and West Side Arrival/Dismissal.
East Side Arrival/Dismissal will be Pre-School, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades. To access the East Side, use the West Side Entrance and the far left lane to drive behind the school and all the way around.
West Side Arrival/Dismissal will be 3rd-6th Grade, unless they are meeting a younger sibling that is picked up on the East Side.
Please talk with your child/children about your plans so they will know as well.
Walkers/Bike Riders: Please use the crosswalk at Leather Chaps and Creekside. We will have crossing guards there to help get across safely. If children are going to walk to a car in the neighborhood, please make sure that the teachers know that and be courteous to our neighbors by not blocking their driveways.
Parking Lot Access: Please do not use the parking lot to drop off students. If families need to park in the lot and come into the school, the parking lot entrance is at the far west end on Creekside near the West Pick-Up and Drop Off.
Teachers will be outside tomorrow with their names. Our kindergarten teachers will be on the Southeast corner of the building and grade levels move West around the school with 6th grade near the basketball courts on the West side
