The Lewis Palmer Middle School PTO is a non-profit corporation created in 2010 under IRC section 501(c)(3) for the purpose of enhancing and supporting the educational experience at Lewis Palmer Middle School. There are no membership dues. Members have voting privileges, one vote per person.

The two primary means of achieving PTO's purpose are 1) volunteering for school enhancement activities and 2) financial support through fundraising activities such as the Patriot Pride Capital Campaign, concession sales, school store sales, give-back family dinner nights, butter braid sales, holiday wreath sales, and other methods.

The LPMS PTO operates at the direction of an Executive Board consisting of four (4) Officers elected by PTO members. Officer positions may be shared. In addition to the four Executive Officer positions, the LPMS Principal (or designee) serves as a voting member of the Executive Board, although the Principal holds no executive authority on the Executive Board. Executive Board/Officer terms are for one (1) year, running July 1 through June 30 . Elections for Board/Officer positions are generally held in May of the school year preceding commencement of Officer terms.
