Hi Kilmer Families,

I wanted to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Mrs. Zick and I’m pleased to be your child’s 2nd grade teacher. I know how important it is to get to know one another, so let me start off by giving you some general information about myself.

I’m originally from Northern Illinois. I completed my schooling and earned my Bachelors of Science Degree at Rockford University. This will be my 8th year teaching. However, this is my 3rd year teaching at Kilmer Elementary. I have experience teaching preschool, 3rd, and 2nd grade.

My husband and I came out to Colorado about 9 years ago to enjoy living in such a beautiful state, and most importantly, to keep our newest generation of family members close. My children are lucky to be neighbors and best friends with their cousins. Needless to say, we are very family-oriented and know how important it is to make a positive impact on our children’s lives.

My goal is to make sure your child’s needs are met and to support them in experiencing a positive and loving school environment. I hope to make lifelong learners and build relationships with each and every one of my students. Seeing my students excited and happy to learn melts my heart.

I look forward to meeting my student’s families and build a strong relationship with my students.
