STUDENT MENTORSHIP
The Palmer Ridge Student Mentorship (PRSM) program is a service-based organization, whereby highly successful and trained upperclass PR student-mentors are paired 1-1 for the academic year with an incoming freshman that desires the advice and support of an older peer. The desired result of the PRSM program is a more successful, well-assimilated and happy freshman at PR.
Mentors and mentees work on a wide range of activities such as: academics/tutoring, school assimilation, anxiety about high school, getting off to a good start, or just providing good advice and friendship.
Meetings
Mentors and mentees meet 1-1 throughout the academic year, with the frequency based on the mentee's specific needs and goals (at least weekly). All PRSM members meet in a group environment once a month for shared mentor-mentee experiences and some fun activities.
