Building Accountability Advisory Committee (BAAC)
What is BAAC?
Are you looking for a place to learn more about your child's education? Want to stay informed about D-38 trends, the PWES school budget and initiatives being implemented for improvements at our school? Desire to hear about the District policies and the latest education issues on upcoming ballots?
Each school year, as required by state law, a group of parents, interested community representatives, the school principal, and teaching staff form BAAC. This group provides parents with a forum to monitor trends, share ideas, review policies and provide advice to the Administration of PWES. This group does not make policy but provides a place for collaboration, which strengthens the quality of education for every student at Prairie Winds.
Every BAAC member is also welcome to attend the monthly District Accountability Advisory Committee (DAAC) meetings, where BAAC members from every D-38 school work together to direct school level issues through to the Board of Education.
