Principal's Message
From Mrs. Kim Briding
Dear Palmer Lake Elementary Families,
Welcome to Palmer Lake Elementary, a small school with a big heart, nestled mountainside in the beautiful town of Palmer Lake. We are proud to be a school deeply rooted in tradition, where our students thrive in a close-knit and supportive community. One of our cherished traditions is our unique school postal system, run by a retired postmaster, where students learn valuable communication skills while having fun connecting with their peers.
Our active PTO works tirelessly to support our students, teachers, and the school’s needs, from technology purchases to playground enhancements. The PTO hosts a monthly meeting that is open to everyone, and I encourage you to join us and share your ideas! Plus, childcare is provided, so come make a new friend or two!
Palmer Lake Elementary proudly sponsors long-standing community events, including the Palmer Lake 4th of July Run, Santa’s Breakfast, Scholastic Book Fairs, and the beloved Popcorn Fridays. These events foster a sense of community and create lifelong memories for our students and families.
We welcome volunteers with open arms! Whether you want to help in a classroom, the front office, or the library, we have a place for you. And if you’re ready to tackle an outdoor project, I have just the opportunity in mind!
Throughout the year, we invite families to connect with us and learn more about their child’s education. Back-to-School Night is a great time to meet teachers and hear presentations about our classrooms. Additionally, we host Literacy Night, where students enjoy reading-related games and parents learn about the Science of Reading, how to support reading fluency at home, and better understand their child’s assessment scores.
Come see what makes Palmer Lake Elementary a 'star' in the Lewis-Palmer School District! We are excited to partner with you this year and look forward to the many wonderful experiences ahead.
With gratitude always,
Kim Briding
Principal, Palmer Lake Elementary School
